Argo Navis Marine Consulting and Engineering Ltd., was established in Athens – Greece in 2009 and is active in the Greek, Cypriot, Northern European and Middle Eastern markets.
Argo Navis has developed and offered services related with the Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS), especially retrofit projects, since 2011. More than 150 ships have already been surveyed and 3D scanned, of various types and sizes. From those scans, more than 70 feasibility and basic design studies have been carried out.
By the end of 2017, Argo Navis has performed the detail engineering and supervision for 25 retrofit installations and through those installations came across all challenges involved with BWTS projects' retrofitting works and commissioning.
Also, Argo Navis has several times provided consulting services to clients for selecting BWTS as well as reviewing makers' and shipyards' drawings for newbuilding projects.
Argo Navis is also involved with the Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems (EGCS – Scrubber) systems in the recent years. Several 3D scans and feasibility studies have been carried out so far, while engineering studies are already planned and scheduled for 2018.
Ecochlor's BWTS is the first chemical injection treatment system to receive the USCG Type Approval.
The Ecochlor® Ballast Water Treatment System is a two-step treatment process that includes filtration and treatment with ClO2.
Yara SOx scrubber is the most economical and efficient way to achieve full compliance with both current and future emission regulations from the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
Our scrubbers are tailor made to any engine size and vessel, have a very small footprint and have flexible dimensions to accommodate for the specific vessel's space availability.
Yara Marine Technologies' scrubbers are produced in high quality, anti-corrosion steel giving superior lifetime and option of extended warranties.
Yara Marine Technologies offers scrubbers that can operate in both open and closed loop as well as hybrid scrubbers that can automatically transit between open and closed loop depending on the specific geographical regulation.
Yara is the only abatement company that can offer scrubber design that allows for both Magnesium Oxide (MgO) and Caustic Soda (NaOH) as alkali in closed loop. We normally recommend to use MgO because:
The installation of the Exhaust Gas Cleaning systems and some of the Ballast Water Treatment systems (retrofits and new constructions) involve extensive GRE piping.
Pipespain A.S. is the principal of VMS who is specialised in the design, prefabrication and installation of GRP/GRE pipe systems.
One of the most critical factors for safety, either this is sea or land. Our engineers ensure that the communication systems from SatCom equipment, radio systems and to software solutions are always up and running effectively.
We are well acquainted with all Satcom terminals from Inmarsat and Iridium and are able to assist in every installation, service and maintenance of our customer’s Satcom equipment.
Installations and services on a wide range of radio equipment, such as VHF, MF/HF radios, portable radios
Our engineers are qualified on all communication software and applications, ensuring that all network connectivity is up and running a 24/7 basis.
Our engineers are approved and certified by makers to install, maintain and service all navigation equipment. We are also capable to provide the following spares a variety of marine navigation equipment:
We can provide a range of Security Services and Surveys, installation of security equipment and maintenance of all the related systems on vessels such as:
With a team of own service engineers who are trained and authorized by makers, we can provide propulsion services – such as bonding of the stern tube seals, bow thrusters seals, liner alignment, inspection of a vessel's sealing system, and more – with bonding services being able to be delivered afloat or during the dry docking of the vessel.
Our own squad teams of mechanical and electrical service engineers are certified to provide services such as:
